Roberto Fortuna
Roberto, Associate Financial Planner

Hello!

Thanks for taking a moment to learn a little bit about me and my life journey. I was born and raised in Westchester County, New York where I ultimately met my biggest supporter and all around fantastic wife, Danielle.  We have two teenage boys, Giovanni and Lorenzo, who keep us busy and on our toes.

After completing a 20-year career as a firefighter in 2022, we made the decision to relocate to Ponte Vedra, Florida where we have since connected with a kind and supportive community of friends.

A few fun facts about me… I am a voracious reader and enjoy everything from financial books to spy novels. I listen to many podcasts and like to learn about a wide variety of topics through that medium.  Lastly, I have fallen in love with our National Parks and have made it a point to visit at least once a year.

My journey into the financial planning world has taken many turns before I ultimately decided to focus my efforts on becoming a financial planner. During my years as a firefighter, I learned firsthand through many close colleagues how difficult the decision to retire can be. With all the decisions that need to be made, both financial and emotional, it was a learning experience that can’t be duplicated.

I spent several years as a financial coach where I had the opportunity to learn and implement strategies that took financial psychology and behaviors into real-life practice. Through that experience, I learned the value of the knowledge of taxation and how important it is in a comprehensive financial plan.   I went on to obtain the Enrolled Agent credential and have been involved with tax preparation for the last several years.

Since then, I’ve obtained my certified financial planner (CFP) designation and am enthusiastic about helping people pursue their dreams with a solid financial plan and a partner to help them walk the journey. I look forward to getting to know you and continuing to serve in any way that I can!
